Target Children's Stage at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books April 25, 2009

When: Saturday, April 25, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 26, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Where: UCLA Campus, Los Angeles, Calif.

What: Children of all ages and their families will gather at Target's Children Stage on the campus of UCLA for the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. The event, which is free to the public, will feature two full days of celebrity book readings and signings, live entertainment and musical performances – all to help foster children’s love for reading as a fun and recreational activity.

Who: Celebrity authors including Brooke Shields, Alonzo Mourning, Sabrina Bryan of The Cheetah Girls and Kim Wayans will make their books come alive for children of all ages and the young at heart, from the larger-than-life Target “Big Red Chair,” a symbol of the company's commitment to support early childhood reading. In addition, families are invited to enjoy live musical performances by popular children's groups, including Yo Gabba Gabba!, featuring D.J. Lance Rock & Brobree, Robbert Bobbert and Playhouse Disney’s “Choo-Choo Soul.”
