This leaderless ensemble featuring Stacy Dillard (tenor saxophone), Orrin Evans (piano), Eric Revis (bass) and Nasheet Waits (drums) was dubbed Tarbaby, not as a political statement, but as a metaphor for an all too common cliche which the group sternly rejects. This is the first and second night of the Earshot Jazz Festival.
