Tara Slone @ Tibetan Fundraising Dinner for Riwoche Temple December 9, 2006

I am pleased to announce that we will be graced by the musical talents of Tara Slone at this year's Riwoche Temple's Tibetan Fundraising Dinner. She is a long-time Shambhala practitioner who has known Sonam Rinpoche for many years.

Tara has distinguished herself on Canada's music scene, as the lead singer for the group "Joydrop," and now as a solo artist. Much of her newer work has a harder, rock edge, (she was a finalist on last summer's TV show "Rock Star INXS") but she also has a more mellow acoustic style (her vocal training was in classical music and music theatre,) which she will be performing for us at the dinner, accompanied by a guitarist.

Tara is a lovely person as well as a versatile singer, and it is a real pleasure to have her perform at the dinner this year.
