Tapestry Weaving – NEW!

All Levels
Tapestry weaving is a means of transforming visual images into a tactile art form. The diversity of small-loom weaving and the simplicity of a single shedding device make tapestry weaving the perfect approach to weaving on a budget. The basics of tapestry weaving will be taught and re-enforced as students set up their looms, experiment with techniques and create a tapestry sampler. Finishing methods and mounting suggestions will be discussed so students can turn the sampler into a wall hanging. Materials fee: $15 covers warp and a variety of weft yarns. Students are encouraged to bring other yarns of varying textures, colors and fiber contents to enhance the weaving experience.
Materials fee - $15 payable to instructor
Instructor: Cherri Hankins
