Tanglewood Jazz Festival: Hank Jones September 2, 2007

Pianist Ahmad Jamal's rhythmic innovations and colorful harmonic perceptions incorporate a unique sense of space in his music. Italian vocalist Roberta Gambarini is one of today's most accomplished jazz singers. She has the ability to paint emotion with her smooth, pristine voice and she breathes life into jazz standards with elegance and swing. Tenor saxophonist Jimmy Heath has performed with his brothers in the Heath Brothers Band, and with Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Wynton Marsalis and John Coltrane, to name a few.
