Tamaryn
Man Without Country
Air Cav

You can almost feel the blurry heat rise from Tamaryn's sultry brand of atmospheric shoegaze. It's desert music, hallucinatory and vast. The San Francisco duo is made up of one-named singer Tamaryn and producer-multi-instrumentalist Rex John Shelverton, who originally met in 2000 when Shelverton was in the Sub Pop band Vue.

"Today’s torchbearer for the maladjusted melodies of the coldwave era. Ceremonial, pulse-pounding, and densely aerial." DAZE DIGITAL

"The universe delivered the greatest gift of all. A band that blew me away... Tamaryn is gazy, airy and most of all, sonically similar to the best album of the 00′s, My Morning Jacket’s At Dawn. NEW BAND A DAY

"Solemn and slow, the sort of stuff that might soundtrack a chilling documentary about an eco-apocalypse called The Drowning World or something." THE GUARDIAN

"While The Waves is often split between upbeat and dirgy tempos, when the two meet the results are epic." PITCHFORK

"Imagine a heavy metal band playing surf rock - underwater." NYLON
