On October 16, The Talk of the Stacks will feature Marilynne Robinson. Robinson’s first novel, Housekeeping, was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in 1980. In 2005, her long-anticipated second novel, Gilead, won both the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award. Her newest novel, Home, is a moving and healing book about family secrets, love, death, and faith.

The Talk of the Stacks is free with open seating to the public. Programs begin at 7:00pm; doors open at 6:15pm. Book sale and signing follow presentations. Visit www.friendsofmpl.org for more information.
