The Friends of the Minneapolis Public Library and U.S. Trust present Talk of the Stacks, a reading series at the Minneapolis Central Library exploring contemporary literature and culture. Readings are held at the Minneapolis Central Library, Pohlad Hall, 300 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis.

On December 11, Talk of the Stacks will feature M.T. Anderson. Anderson is the award-winning author of several books for children and young adults, including The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing, (2006 National Book Award Winner for Young People's Literature) and Feed (2002 Los Angeles Times Book Prize winner). Known for his keen sense of social criticism, complex narratives, and masterful use of language, Anderson proves young-adult novels are alive and well. Adults and teens are encouraged to attend. Co-hosted by the Teen Central's Teen Advisory Group.

The Talk of the Stacks is free with open seating to the public. Programs begin at 7:00pm; doors open at 6:15pm. Book sale and signing follow presentations. Visit www.friendsofmpl.org for more information.
