The Friends of the Minneapolis Public Library and U.S. Trust present Talk of the Stacks, a reading series at the Minneapolis Central Library exploring contemporary literature and culture. Readings are held at the Minneapolis Central Library, Pohlad Hall, 300 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis.

On November 11, Talk of the Stacks will feature Garrison Keillor. Author, poet, storyteller, humorist, and creator of the radio show A Prairie Home Companion, Keillor has been entertaining audiences for more than 34 years with his tales of the fictional town, Lake Wobegon. Author of more than a dozen books including Lake Wobegon Days, Pontoon, and Good Poems for Hard Times, Keillor writes his own syndicated newspaper column and is a frequent contributor to Time, The New Yorker, and National Geographic.

The Talk of the Stacks is free with open seating to the public. Programs begin at 7:00pm; doors open at 6:15pm. Book sale and signing follow presentations. Visit www.friendsofmpl.org for more information.
