Talk - Making and Meaning in Mughal Art: Experiments in Cross-Cultural Assimilation. Dr.Ursula Weekes, a post-doctoral fellow with ICCR will be giving an interactive talk on Mughal miniatures at Reflection Art Gallery & Studio. Dr.Weekes will look at the historical roots of Mughal miniatures and trace their development into modern times. She will also explore the cultural influences on Mughal Art from historical Christian sources and Hindu tradition. This is to invite both artists and art-lovers to a stimulating exploration of one of India's great art traditions that still holds significance for us today.
