Talk: Heritage of the Khitans

For the first time in Singapore, China’s archaeological findings unveil the mysterious tomb of the Liao Dynasty in the Tu Er Ji Mountains. This significant discovery represents the Khitans’ influence and prominence in Inner Mongolia.

On October 13, a special talk will be held at Programme Zone at Jurong Regional Library. The speaker, Mr. Tala is the Chief archaeologist for Inner Mongolia and China. He will share his experiences of exploring culturally and historically, one of the most important lost dynasties in Chinese History, the Liao Dynasty with the audience.

Speaker Profile:

Mr Tala is the director of the Inner Mongolia Museum, Vice-Chairman of China and Inner Mongolia Archaeology Association, Professor at various universities and expert in the studies of the Khitan tribe. The talk will be conducted in Mandarin.

塔拉院长是现任内蒙古博物院院长,研究馆员,兼任中国考古学会理事,内蒙古考古博院馆学会副理事长,古林大学边疆考古中心客座教授,内蒙古师大学历史文化学院考古文博系系主任,辽宁师范大学特聘教授。
