Join kids from across the State at the NC State Fairgrouds for a FREE wildlife conservation event sponsored by the Wake County Wildlife Club and more than 20 wildlife conservation partners! Hands-on, interactive activities will follow academic SCOC objectives at this workshop event to be held on Friday March 5th beginning at 9am, making this an ideal opportunity for public and private schools, home schools, and youth groups to attend.

Advance registration is required for the Take a Walk on the Wild Side youth wildlife conservation workshop series (March 5th), which will be filled on a first come basis. However, there are no advance registration requirements to attend the many youth-oriented activities available on Youth Day - also Friday March 5th - at the Dixie Deer Classic on Friday, which will be offering a special admission of only $5 to youth age 12 and older that day for a 3-day pass (March 5th - 7th)! Youth Day within the the Dixie Deer Classic opens at 11AM. The Classic closes at 9pm that day.
