Powerhouse soulstress Tabitha Fair heats up The Stoop’s Season Kick-Off in Hell’s Kitchen

NEW YORK, New York – August 26, 2011 – The Stoop, a distinctive music venue in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen is thrilled to present a night of indie soul, rock, and pop featuring headliner Tabitha Fair. Tabitha has been awarded the Songwriters Hall of Fame Abe Olman Award and is a top touring vocalist and recording artist. Fair was also a co-founding member of the high-selling group, Avalon. This knock-out performer has worked with the likes of Keith Urban, Celine Dion, Carole King, Amy Grant, Sting, Travis Tritt, Michael McDonald, and The Van Zant Brothers to name a few. Tabitha Fair is one accomplished songstress not to be missed.

Lachi, who will be kicking off the night, has been featured on Oprah Radio, MTV Iggy, NPR, CBS Radio, The Onion, and various other entertainment outlets not to mention her performances at a growing list of famed venues and festivals including Joe’s Pub, SXSW, and more. She’s drawn in a loyal following with her haunting melodies and lyrics complemented by her piano stylings. Lachi is a force to be reckoned with, as she wields the melodies and composes songs inspired by life’s trials with a grace like no other. Phoebe Lyng, a special indie rock singer-songwriting talent will follow Lachi. Lyng is a favorite at The Stoop having joined the roster as at The Stoop’s first ever WCWP Songwriter Roundtable Live Radio Taping in 2009. The humorous, heartfelt, and vocally thrilling, Phoebe Lyng will return to celebrate The Stoop’s newest season. Lyng is currently working on her full-length album.

The event will be emceed by Chris MacIntosh (aka “Grandfather Rock”) of WCWP Radio. Doors open at 7:30 pm., and showtime is at 8pm. While the concert is free, The Stoop will be accepting suggested donations of $12. Receive a free gift with the full suggested cover. All drinks and concessions including beer and wine are inexpensively priced under $4.

The Stoop venue and concert series is presented by Music Forum of Church For All Nations, Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. Church for All Nations is sponsoring the series in providing the landmark venue as a contribution to the cultural and spiritual life of Hell's Kitchen.
