A walking combination of Swamp blues, Soul blues and Chicago blues, Tab Benoit was essentially born on the Bayou. He grew up hanging out with blues guitar greats like Tabby Thomas, Raful Neal and many others at the Baton Rouge's Blues Box music club and learned from the best, first hand. Benoit is one of the most passionate and focused blues guitarists on the circuit today and with such a fast playing style, people often wonder how the music flows so easily through his fingers. His strings seldom last through more than one song. Going beyond the music, Benoit works hard to save the land that birthed the blues by raising awareness of the receding wetlands all over Louisiana, with his "Voice of the Wetlands" organization.
