Swiss Highland Games August 31, 2008

Men in skirts? People throwing telephone poles about? Meat dishes cooked in the stomach lining of sheep? Who could resist joining Jo and me for a day of Scottish culture and cuisine at the Swiss Highland Games on Sunday 31st August, which are held in St. Ursen, FR. We'd love it if you could join us.

Jo and I will be arriving by train at Fribourg main station at 9.25 a.m., to catch the bus onward to the festival site. Some sporting events begin at 9 a.m.: if anyone would like to attend these earlier events, we can meet you there. See the website for more details of the day's programme.
