Aaron Weinstein was named a “rising star VIOLINIST” by Downbeat Magazine. He grew up in Chicago (New Trier High School) and graduated from Boston’s Berklee School of Music. He founded a high school group that was voted nation’s BEST. He has won many competitions in Illinois and elsewhere. He has appeared at festivals and concerts in NYC, Iceland, France, Chicago, and other European nations. He has recorded several albums with others and debuted on ARBORS with his own: “A Handful of Stars.” Jazz violin brings up the names of Johnny Frigo (recently died), Stephanie Grappelli, Joe Venuti, Claude Williams, and Andy Stein, who haunt the NYC venues today. Now we also have Aaron !!!

Frank Vignola is one of the most accomplished, multi-dimensional GUITARISTS walking the planet today. Monster player, composer, improviser Frank plays proficiently in every genre from jazz to bluegrass and works with everyone and their brother. Born on Long Island and raised in Italian-influenced neighborhoods in the NYC area, he grew up admiring a variety of guitarists: classical, rock, pop, jazz, R&B, bluegrass, country, and more. He studied at Long Island’s Cultural Arts Center and became a sought sideman for Madonna, Ringo Starr, Leon Redbone, and led a concert giving tribute to the Hot Club of France. He conducts master classes (hundreds) at several colleges and has written 18 instruction books, led concerts, and recorded DVDs and CDROM instruction disks.

Dan Levinson the fine REEDMAN from CA and NYC, is one of our favorites, who will lead his latest band here in May. Dan has been written about in many major jazz publications, including the August 1998 Mississippi Rag, where he was on the cover, and described as “In-Demand.” Yes he is.: in the USA, Germany, Canada, Britain, and more. He stars with big bands, COMPILES AND LEADS Benny Goodman tributes, and other wonderful events. We were honored to have a special event in May 2007 when Dan proposed to Molly Ryan at our concert. They were married in May 2008 in California.

Ed Wise on BASS was born and raised in Houston and began performing at age 17 with Arnett Cobb and others. He pursued his education at musically world-renowned University of North Texas, earning a BA and an MA in music. He gigged with many jazz stars in Texas (JJ Johnson, Jim McNeely, Hal Galper, Red Garland, Dave Zoller, Al Hirt, and Carl Fontana. He moved to Toronto in 1989, teaching, touring and playing with Canadian greats. In 1993 he moved to New Orleans and discovered traditional jazz, playing with Connie Jones, Al Belletto, , and others. He was professor of music at Loyola University, played on the steamboat Delta Queen for 3 years, and performed at jazz fests in USA and Europe. He moved to Philly in 2005 to head Penn Jazz. He formed his own New Orleans band here and also joined the Midiri Sextet. He has been in Borderline JB, plays a gig in Philly weekly, appears with local stars at Ortlieb’s JazzHaus and LaRose’s Jazz Club.

Walt Whitman & Ben Franklin (I 676) Bridges to I 76 to extreme right lane and exit at Rt 130 South (Brooklawn/Westville Exit 1C) follow to second traffic light to Browning Rd off ramp. Make a right onto Browning Ln, following to dead end. Make a right onto Railroad Ave and into parking lot.

AC Expy North, Rt 42 North, Rt 55 North to local lanes, Trenton, Camden I 295, Rt 130, Rt 42. Pass I295 & RT 130 North off ramps to extreme right lane to Rt 130 South off ramp (Gloucester City/Market St Exit 1c). At top of ramp make a left and follow to second traffic light. Make a left onto Rt 130 South to first traffic light and Browning Rd off ramp. Make a right onto Browning Ln and follow to dead end. Make a right onto Railroad Ave into Parking lot.

Rt 70 East to Rt 130 South. Follow passed Rt 42 exit on your left under the Rt 42 and follow to second traffic light passed the Rt 42 exit to Browning Rd exit. Make a right onto Browning Ln and follow to dead end. Make a right onto Railroad Ave and into parking Lot.

Delaware and Southern Chestier County take the Delaware Mem. or Comm. Barry Bridges to I 295/ Rt 130 North and get off at Exit 23 on I 295 and staying on Rt 130. Go under a railroad trestle to a traffic circle. Follow around the circle with the Hess gas station on your right. Once around the circle, make the first right onto Spur Rt 551 to the first traffic light at Browning Rd. make a left and cross over Rt 130 and follow Browning Ln to dead end. Make a right onto Railroad Ave and into parking lot.
