Tired of candy and flowers for Valentine’s Day? If you’re looking for a more fulfilling experience this year, support Art on Wheels at their annual benefit, Sweethearts for the Arts: Masquerade Ball at Gallery5 on February 11th at 8pm. This Blush-Worthy Benefit will include burlesque, drag, and theater performances, and proceeds help fund programming for Art on Wheels. A valuable educational asset to the Richmond area, Art on Wheels is devoted to providing comprehensive art education, with a unique focus on the elderly, disabled, and homeless communities.

Puppeteer extraordinaire Lily Lamberta and All The Saints Theater Company will get the evening started with a short play - and while the intrique heats up, there will be plenty of games, auction items and other fun activities to take advantage of. Hosted by the fabulous Magnolia Jackson Pickett Burnside and featuring burlesque acts from Richmond’s darlings; Deepa de Jour, Deanna Danger, and Kiki Von Kitsch this event will surely have your Valentine’s Day off to a spicy start. Richmond’s own sinful sirens, the Taboo Girls will add some playful discipline to the evening with the help of Booty Jams Podcast. Whether you indulge in chocolate dipped strawberries and champagne, bid on auction items, decorate your mask at the mask-making table, or boogie down to the beats of DJ’s Sara Gossett and Julie Karr, this night of sparkle and spice is sure to delight!

Add more va-va-voom to your Valentine’s Day this year and celebrate with supporting Sweethearts for the Arts: Masquerade Ball. Tickets are $15 with a mask, $20 for mask provided, and you can buy them online at www.gallery5arts.org/Pre-Sale.html . Proceeds will fund Art on Wheels endeavors and offer you an evening filled with intrique, dancing and cheeky fun!
