This month?s CXO Forum meeting will feature Eric O?Brien, General Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners discussing growth in the Start-up company and Development of the Management Team.
Growth in a Start-up company can be a challenging process that does not always end in success. Careful and strategic development of the management team is an essential component in a successful Start-up company. The quality of the management team is one of the most important aspects that is entirely within the control of the CEO and the Start-up team. However, recruiting and development of the right talent into an execution-focused operational team requires a intelligent strategy to bring the best possible talent into the company.
The meeting will address the following issues.
- Common challenges in your organization and the management team
- What are the productivity problems associated with growth
- Recruiting Talent: Acquire verses Develop
- The types of people you need verses the type of people attracted to Start-ups
- What is an ?A? Player to a Start-up company?
- What value does an ?A? Player bring to a Start-up
- How do you find and recruit the ?A? Players
- What do you do with under-performers
- What should be the forms of compensation
