How do I Choose My Founding Team?

Come hear serial entrepreneur and early-stage investor David Chiang, together with investment expert and entrepreneur Steve Dines of Sand Hill Angels, address topics such as:
* When is the time to build a Founding Team?
* What should I expect from co-founders?
* What do they expect from me?
* Other advisors: considerations for your Board of Directors and Advisory Commitee
* In too deep? Mistakes to avoid when partnering with additional Founders

Join our stellar Investor/Entrepreneur panel on March 27th for a hard-hitting discussion on how to evaluate and approach this critical element of starting, building and even funding your entrepreneureal venture. It is also your chance to get equity consideration guidelines from Guy Kawasaki.

The Panel:

David Chiang
Founder | Sage-N Research (SageNResearch.com)
Member | Sand Hill Angels (sandhillangels.com)

David founded Sage-N Research in 2002 to focus on plug and play productivity systems for data analysis in proteomics, a revolutionary chemical analysis technology used in medical research and drug discovery for rapidly and automatically characterizing thousands of proteins at once in blood and other samples using sophisticated pattern matching of chemical mass spectra. Prior to founding Sage-N Research, David worked at Xilinx, Inc. where he headed the Strategic Marketing Group and successfully launched the Virtex-2 and Virtex-2 Pro FPGA product families, after heading the IC Design Engineering Group in the CPLD Division.

Before joining Xilinx, he was a Senior Design Engineer for Altera Corporation, as well as for the Research Laboratory of Fairchild Semiconductor.

David is also an experienced early-stage investor in startup companies as a member of the Sand Hill Angels group. He is the inventor and co-inventor of 28 U.S. patents and numerous international patents, and holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Steve Dines
Board Director | Sand Hill Angels (sandhillangels.com)

Steve Dines has spent over 25 years in the semiconductor industry in various leadership positions. Steve was president and CEO of Azanda Network Devices, a communications semiconductor company that was acquired in November 2004 by Cortina Systems. Steve also spent eight years at Cirrus Logic, where, as an officer of the corporation, he was responsible for leading the company's $350M mass storage business. During his tenure, Steve oversaw Cirrus Logic's entry into the read channel business, ultimately capturing over 40% share of this large market. He was also responsible for bringing the industry leading 3Ci "system-on-a-chip" mass storage solution to market, which pioneered the open architecture solutions in common use today.

Earlier in his career, Steve held a variety of product planning and strategic marketing roles with AMD in both the US and Europe.
