Many of us have great ideas and ambitions to be an entrepreneur, but let’s face it: it’s not for everyone. Learn from the experiences of an veteran entrepreneur and a funding expert what skills will serve you well as you consider starting your own business, what efforts will likely be required and what red flags to look out for in your own personality and behaviors.
Our stellar Investor/Entrepreneur panel, including serial entrepreneur John Kim, will explore this question and attempt to answer these questions that you may already be asking:
* What characteristics are common amongst successful entrepreneurs?
* What types of commitments, sacrifices and joys can I expect as I get my new business started?
* What resources are available to help me avoid mistakes and make wise decisions?
* If I recognize that I may not have what it takes to be an entrepreneur, what options do I have to realize my idea?
* How much money do I need to get started?
* and more!
John Sung Kim – Entrepreneur, LeadMarket
In 2001, John invented the world's first Internet-based Predictive Dialer. As Five9's founding CEO and principal lead generator, John grew the company from his apartment in Alameda, California, to a business with over $13 Million in total revenues (through Search Engines & the Web) and over 100 employees (though they did not all fit in his apartment). Since then, John has helped dozens of websites become profitable and is recognized as one of the country's leading experts on Small Business Internet Marketing. John regularly speaks at industry seminars and has been printed in numerous publications including the Journal of the American Chemical Society, Call Center Magazine, Technology Media (TMC) and Internet Telephony Magazine.
After working with many of the different Internet-Marketing software products and various marketing & SEO consultants, John realized the next business opportunity for his team was to create the first software company to make Smart Internet Marketing affordable and "technology-digestable" for small businesses. John and his team at LeadMarket.com have filed for 5 patents with the USPTO.
