This CXO Leadership Forum, with Guest Speaker Andrew Gowans, of Osborne Clark will review the requirements, preparation, costs and procedures for raising capital on the AIM marketplace within the London Stock Exchange. The AIM market has positioned itself as alternative to the NASDAQ for technology companies. Andrew?s presentation will addressing the following points:

Biography of the speaker
Andrew Gowans is the Managing Partner of Osborne Clarke in Silicon Valley. Osborne Clark is a European law firm that provides business-focused legal solutions to a wide range of European and US clients. Andrew?s experience covers a broad range of corporate transactional and financing work, ranging from company start-ups to complex cross-border mergers. He has led several of the high profile M&A transactions for clients in the technology sector, many of those transactions being international in nature and requiring close co-ordination with the firm's European offices.

Prior to his appointment to Osborne Clarke's Silicon Valley Office, Andrew led the firm's Thames Valley Office, where he was widely recognized as the region's leading corporate lawyer. He is a respected speaker, and co-author of Palmer's Company Law Manual, the well-known UK M&A law textbook.

Andrew read law at Oxford University and then obtained a Masters degree in corporate law from Cambridge University. He spent 6 years with leading London law firm Freshfields, before joining Osborne Clarke in 1998.

This event is a collegial luncheon designed to foster discussion in a confidential format among C level (CEO, CFO, CTO, CMO) officers of startup companies.
