Louder Than Words Dancetheatre presents Suspended View, an evening of modern dance and art with choreography by Chris Harris and art works from local and national artists including Wendy Turner, Soren Wolf, Paul Oberst, Noah Sodano, Rebecca Peebles, and LTW company members.
Harris revisits and re-works previous pieces and premieres several new works. Traveling through a gallery of interconnected art to an intimate seating arrangement, audience members are encouraged to explore their responses to art in many forms.
Suspended View opens on June 3 at the King Center on the Auraria Campus, 855 Lawrence Way, Denver, and performs on Friday and Saturday, for two weekends only, through June 11. Performance time is 8:00 p.m. Seating is limited. Tickets are $20 Adults and $17 Students & Seniors. Chris Harris, Artistic Director and Choreographer, was born in Denver and holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Colorado and a second degree in Architecture. She is currently an Artist in Residence at the Denver School of the Arts; and on the faculty of Dance Kaleidoscope and A Living Arts Centre. She has choreographed for local theaters; been a guest lecturer at The Arts Institute of Colorado and CSU; designed many websites; and is a co-director of the Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop, the Assistant Artistic Director of Interweave Dancetheatre and the Artistic Director/Choreographer Colorado Youth Dance Theatre in Denver.
