Surrey Royal British Legion are holding their now annual special British Armed Forces Race Day Event at Lingfield Park on Armed Forces Day - Saturday 30 June 2012 from 17.00 hours.

All races have been booked and Members of the Armed Forces have been invited as have TA Members and Surrey Cadets who recently celebrated their 150th Anniversary by taking part in the march-past, accompanied by Surrey Veterans. Also present will be The Lord Lieutenant of Surrey - Dame Sarah GOAD DCVO JP or her Representative and Brigadier Simon WOLSEY OBE - Comd 2 (SE) Brigade. Other civic dignataries, including the High Sheriff have been invited, along with representatives from Surrey and Sussex Royal British Legion and other Service charities.

Following the Inspection by the Minister and Lord-Lieutenant / Representive - there will be an Evening Reception and presentation of Veterans Badges. All Servicemen and women; Veterans and Cadets as well as Standard Bearers will have free admission to the Race Day. All are encouraged to wear medals and be present by 17.00 hours in readiness for the march-past. The event is to celebrate and give thanks for the work of the Armed Forces - yesterday, to-day and tomorrow.

Soldiers , Servicemen and Women in Uniform will get FREE ADMISSION - Only Veterans and their Spouses / Partners receiving Veterans Badges get Free Admission - All other Veterans get discounted tickets at £10 which they can book directly from Lingfield Park
