Surrey - Armed Forces Day & Veterans Race Day July 8, 2009

Surrey Royal British Legion is once again staging a special British Armed Forces and Veterans Race Day at Lingfield Park.
Veterans from all conflicts and current servicemen and women are especially invited for this special Armed Forces themed day.
With many exhibitions and stands with a wartime / military theme, serving soldiers; veterans and cadets will have the opportunity to compare notes and reminesce - the old with the young together.
It will be a day of celebration and thanks with Kevan JONES MP - Veterans Minister presenting Veterans Badges with Mrs Sarah GOAD JP -Lord-Lieutenant and Lady TOULSON CBE [High Sheriff in 2009] at a special afternoon reception.
There will be a Parade of Standards and March-Past by Veterans and you are warmly invited to join us.
Sunset Ceremony will end the day.
Discounted Tickets will be available from the Ticket Office at Lingfield Park. [ Frances GAUNT01342 834800] All those receiving a Veterans Badge will receive a free ticket for the day!
It is for all ages and last year we had a 96 year old ex-Gunner.
