This course will discuss the main warehousing principles and describe some basic storage and handling systems for palletized and non-palletized goods. We will identify and explain the key steps in the order-fulfillment process and understand the planning and control strategy of the company stock of goods, applying the optimization technique to control inventory. In addition, we will identify and explain various distribution-center operations, recognizing the various modes of transportation and discussing the importance of transportation in the fulfillment process.
