18 – 19 Apr, 2011 | Pacific Regency Hotel, KL

“A 2008 study conducted by the Economist Intelligent Unit, entitled Growing Global Executive Talent, showed that the top three leadership qualities that will be important over the next five years include: the ability to motivate staff (35%); the ability to work well across cultures (34%); and the ability to facilitate change (32%). The least important were technical expertise (11%) and "bringing in the numbers" (10%)”

Leadership is not just about telling others to do a good job. It is about ensuring that subordinates have the capabilities and opportunities to do a good job. This means that, among other leadership qualities, leaders must also possess supervisory skills.

The key to being an effective corporate supervisor lies in the ability to influence and inspire employees and work teams. Successful supervision is about better understanding of self and others.
