Sunnyvale Cool Cities Meeting March 13, 2008

Our guest speaker this meeting is Lisa Rose of the Green Business Certification Program.

We are a team of Sunnyvale, California, residents and friends. Our mission is to act to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Sunnyvale.

First priority: to encourage the City Council to robustly implement the recently-adopted Mayor's Climate Protection Agreement. We urge Sunnyvale to organize to systematically reduce citywide emissions by:

- conducting a citywide baseline greenhouse gas audit
- setting a meaningful citywide goal for reducing them
- formulating a comprehensive Climate Protection Plan to reach the goal
- implementing the plan

Other Sunnyvale Cool Cities activities include informing ourselves, supporting other city actions to reduce net greenhouse gas emissions, reducing our own personal carbon footprints, helping others reduce theirs.
