Sunderland Pianoforte Society presents Andrew Brownell
404th Recital

Andrew is a native of Portland Oregon and is the only American to have won a prize in the International J.S. Bach Competition in Leipzig. He was second at the Leeds Competition in 2006 and he won the Hummel Competition in Bratislava. He has played widely around the UK, Europe and the USA as recitalist, concert soloist and chamber musician. He is also an Associate of the Royal College of Organists and has played for a number of prestigious churches in the USA. He has appeared across Europe with many major orchestras.

Andrew is going to reconstruct for us the famous “keyboard contest” between Mozart and Clementi and talk about the music played.
