About two years ago, this cat that Notorious DJ Steve went to law school with (yes, Steve is really a lawyer) told us he was working with this band from Eugene called the Rock n' Roll Soldiers and could we please book them at Shout!. We had never seen them and didn't know them so we were skeptical and asked for a videotape. What we got was a cheap, noisy, handheld second generation tape, but holy crap, these brothers were mayhem and the audience was in complete frenzy so we were instantly convinced. Alas they didn't make it to NYC until CMJ '04, where their CBGBs show tore a new hole in that place. Anyway two years on, here they are. They signed with Atlantic's Lava Records imprint, MTV is all over them (click here) and they're opening for both of Kasabian's sold out shows @ the Bowery. Come give them a proper welcome this Sunday May 15. On stage 11 pm sharp.
