The Rural Life Centre's special family-oriented annual event - Sunday Funday.

Besides the more usual activities of fun races, rag and peg doll making, wooden flowers, toys for free, a coconut shy and bobbing for apples there will be a couple of trails around the museum for families to follow.

In celebration of the life of Thomas Crapper, who died exactly one hundred years ago having pioneered wide ranging improvements in our "domestic arrangements" the museum has a special exhibition on: Thunder, Flush and Thomas Crapper.

The sanitation trail highlights related exhibits throughout the ten acre museum and culminates in the newly re-displayed plumbers shop which will be formally opened on Sunday Funday itself. On the way you'll discover bathing in front of the fire, have a go at pumping water by hand and try out an unusual 'four-holer' for size.

Sunday Funday takes place on August 22nd and is open from 10am to 5pm at the Rural Life Centre which lies midway between Tilford and Frensham in Reeds
Road off the A287, just three miles south of Farnham. Thunder, Flush and Thomas Crapper and the sanitation trail continue until October. For further
information telephone 01252 795571 or visit www.rural-life.org.uk.
