Summertime Cinema - Romeo and Juliet December 15, 2012

The City of Boroondara is proud to present the 2012 Summertime Cinema series, featuring three free outdoor movie screenings to enjoy. Taking place across three consecutive Saturdays in December, Summertime Cinema will be held in various parks and gardens.

The last film in the series, Romeo and Juliet, will be screened at Highfield Park, Camberwell on Saturday 15 December, 8:30pm. Directed by Baz Lurhman this contemporary version of one of the greatest love stories of all time has earned critical acclaim worldwide as one of the best retellings of this Shakespearian classic. Starring Claire Danes and Leonardo Dicaprio, this is cinema at its finest.

Summertime Cinema is free to attend and is the perfect way to enjoy a balmy summer's night. Everyone is invited to bring along a blanket, pack a picnic, and settle in for a great night of entertainment in the fantastic surrounds in one of Boroondara's beautiful open spaces.

Highfield Park is within walking distance of tram stops along Highfield Road. Limited street parking is available.
