Summer Ballet Intensive Auditions March 15, 2009

Saint Mary’s School will once again hold its Summer Ballet Intensive, June 15-19. We had a wonderful first intensive last year, and are confident we will enjoy a second one.

The week’s design will include daily ballet technique classes, modern, jazz, pointe, Pilates and conditioning classes. Ms. Margot Martin, soloist with Carolina Ballet, will design the week and include other Carolina Ballet dancers on the instructional end. The cost is $300 for the week, including lunch. We are expanding the intensive by offering a boarding option for girls and designing the week for a broader age range.

The audition date is Sunday, March 15, 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Saint Mary’s School. Those interested need to contact Lisa Yount ([email protected]) prior to that date.

The timing of this week allows for many of the more experienced students to have a strong solid week of classes before they head off to other summer intensives. It also provides an opportunity for the younger ones to experience classes outside of their present studio, returning with renewed vigor and excitement.
