"SUICIDE, the Musical" starring Helen Stratford at P.S. 122 November 3, 2005

Schoolhouse Roxx presents the world premiere of Helen Stratford's "Suicide, the Musical." This punk rock opera features a kick-line of downtown all-star drag performers (Taylor Mac, Machine Dazzle, Hattie Hathaway, James "Tiger" Ferguson...); gender-bending maestro of the theremin, Armen Ra; and musical direction by Joe McCanta. Expect a tour-de-force performance by Stratford as woman struggling to survive a depraved and nocturnal New York City landscape after leaving the comfort of her conventional but self-destructive relationship.
