From the July event: Those Plain Parade babes gone and done it again. Stumping the male-dominated spinning profession with the All-Girl DJ Throwdown, organizers Sara Sherr and Maria Tessa Sciarrino have assembled a must-see cast of pretty girls ? and more important, their prettier vinyl. "It's cool that while there aren't many female DJs out there, these names are widely recognized throughout the city," says Carolyn Chernoff, aka renowned spinstress Miss Meow. Rotating in churning 20-minute slots, the troupe of DJs focus on a quick spin through just about every sound. "It'll be like a little sampler," Chernoff says.
