A Panel Discussion with Nick Broomfield, Barbara Kopple, Albert Maysles, Raoul Peck

Moderated by Documentary Film Program Director Cara Mertes

Documentary is experiencing a new age of discovery, as exciting as any time in its history. Most strikingly, fiction and non-fiction are commingling, and artists are reinventing contemporary storytelling. Sundance Institute at BAM closes with a live conversational laboratory with four seminal documentarians—each with a unique approach to documentary storytelling. You choose one of four films to watch, and all four audiences join the filmmakers for a discussion of documentary’s past, present, and reinvented future.

Films screen in BAM Rose Cinemas followed by panel discussion at 2:30pm in the BAM Harvey Theater.
