5 CPE/Strategic Credits

HR has a responsibility to understand the company's business strategy and to guide the development of a workforce capable of executing that strategy. Discover how ScoreCards enable management teams to create high performance work cultures - a workforce focused on strategy execution--and create the kind of environment where people want to work.

Balanced ScoreCards measure company-wide performance and focus on the execution of strategic goals. HR plays a key role in identifying workforce issues related to the achievement of these objectives. Workforce ScoreCards define and measure the creation of a high performance work culture focused on strategy, development and rewards. Workforce ScoreCards also demonstrate the value of HR in achieving corporate goals. We'll examine both the company-wide Balanced ScoreCard and the Workforce ScoreCard, and the interrelation between the two.

You'll leave with the skills to:
* Explain the purpose, use and content of both types of ScoreCards
* Outline the development process for each, including strategy mapping, metrics and goal setting
* Define HR's role in identifying strategic competencies and skill gaps
* Describe what's involved in building and maintaining ScoreCards
