ALL AGES

Hailing from Orange, California, Suburban Legends are primarily known as a ska-punk band, but that really just scratches the surface. While expected groups like Reel Big Fish and Rx Bandits appear on their list of important influences, they also include Oingo Boingo, Motley Crue, Spice Girls and Outkast. Clearly, the straight and narrow confines of ska-punk are not enough for the good-humored septet. The band is also generous with their time, having appeared on the Jerry Lewis telethon three straight years. They’ve also set up a memorial fund for their late trombone player Dallas Cook, who was killed in a motorcycle accident in 2005. The fund goes towards aiding the instrumental music program at Huntington Beach High.
