Sub-Radio Standard originated with Matt, John, and Evan messing around with covers and attempting original songs in Matt's basement in 2005. By the end of 2008 however, with the addition of drummer, Michael, the band began to concentrate on producing original lyrics and melodies. After auditioning several singers without luck, the band finally found Adam. The new dynamics of the group helped to jumpstart the band's productivity and Sub-Radio Standard was officially born. The band quickly began writing original songs as well as learning covers. Since 2009, they have successfully recorded a seven-song EP and have many more songs in the making. Sub-Radio Standard loves to perform at any venue and are eager to share their music with even larger audiences.

Westmain has been playing in the D.C. metro area since 2008. In that time, they have shared the stage with Kelly Bell Band, The Speaks, and *Citizen. The five piece band, all hailing from different music backgrounds, mixes a sound that evokes great music from every decade.

We are a simple four man band with some complex ideas and thoughts. We incorporate many different styles and sounds into our music. Though we may be just a simple garage band, we put a lot of emotion into our songs and care deeply about the music we create. We are a different kind of Rock band and we hope you not only enjoy our music but take something from it.

It used to be called RadioRadio. Before that, it was East on Orange. And way before that, when it first started, it was called For Day Since Yesterday. The music and lyrics have survived for almost ten years--being played in coffee shops and dive bars across the country. However, with age comes wisdom and maturity. Maybe we should think of these songs and musicians as grapes that have been fermenting for a long, long time. We're almost ready to break into the scene in a very big way.
