The Italian Club of Dallas will offer a Studio Art class starting on Tuesday, February 3, 2009. Class participants at all skill (or lack-of-skill!) levels will have the option to work on their choice of medium, from sketching to water colors to acrylic. Whether you begin the first class with a blank sheet of paper or you bring a current work-in-progress to finalize, youll finish the course with completed works of art and the skills of an artist. It will be individual instruction in a group setting, taught by a master.
Artist Joe Sambataro is a scholarship graduate from the famous Layton School of Art, with a B.F.A. degree accredited through Marquette University / Wisconsin Medical College, Milwaukee Area Technical College, and Masters Degree studies through the University of Wisconsin. A consistent award-winning artist and now judge for major art exhibits, he has earned popularity worldwide. Sambataro has had studios in Pennsylvania, Maine, Wisconsin, Florida, Okinawa, and, currently, in Texas. His reputation is well-established and his paintings widely sought after by corporations, government agencies, and private collectors, including special commissions for AT&T, the Dallas Cowboys, and ABC Television.
The twelve-week course begins on Tuesday, February 3, 2009, and will be held at the ICD Clubhouse from 7:00 p.m. 9:30 p.m. Cost is $240 for ICD Members and $360 for non-Members, not including art supplies. You can learn more about the course at the Education Open House at the Clubhouse on Tuesday, January 20, 7:00 p.m. 9:30 p.m., or contact Mr. Sambataro directly at 972/416-3399.
