Strides for SIDS March 22, 2010

I’d like to let you know about an exciting event being planned to increase awareness and raise funds for the fight against sudden infant death. SIDS Resources, Inc. and a volunteer committee are planning the fourth annual 5K run/walk, called Strides for SIDS, which will take place on May 22nd, 2010 at Carondelet Park.

I am asking if you can add this event to your list. We will have a 5K run/walk, with the assistance of Big River Running Company. There will be numerous activities available for kids during and after the event. We will also have a commemorative balloon release in memory of all of the babies lost too soon to SIDS.

SIDS Resources is a not for profit organization that provides family support to those who have experienced the tragedy of sudden infant death, as well as public education on how to reduce the risk. They have joined forces with many other organizations to increase awareness on safe sleep practices for babies, most notably the "Back to Sleep" campaign, and are working hard to keep babies alive.

With your support, "Strides for SIDS" will be a huge success, and SIDS Resources can continue to offer their services free of charge to those who need them the most.
