Strictly Come Dancing is a British television show, featuring celebrities with professional dance partners competing in Ballroom and Latin dances. The title of theStrictly Come Dancing suggests a continuation of the long-running series Come Dancing, with an allusion to the film Strictly Ballroom. The format of Strictly Come Dancing has been exported to 30 other countries, and has also inspired a modern-dance themed spin-off Strictly Dance Fever. Strictly Come Dancing has run on BBC One since 2004. A sixth series of Strictly Come Dancing finished in December 2008, and there have been five stand-alone Christmas Specials -in consecutive years from 2004 to 2008.
