STRESS REDUCTION WORKSHOP: mindfulness tools you can use every day
In a recent study, 25% of Americans reported that they have felt like screaming or shouting because of job stress. In another study, 40% described their job as ?extremely stressful.? While a certain amount of stress is natural, ongoing, chronic stress may have various adverse effects such as increased blood pressure and heart rate, irritability, depression, insomnia, addictive behavior, forgetfulness, restlessness, and anxiety. Stress also lowers our resistance, making us more vulnerable to illness and disease. It is a major health concern in the US and worldwide.

The cognitive component, mindfulness, has been shown to be one of the most important aspects in managing stress. In this workshop we will introduce mindfulness techniques, tools and strategies you can use every day to restore all aspects of ourselves, including body, mind, and heart. No prior meditation experience necessary.
