Following three successful years, and with a rep to contend with, STREETFEST is back with a one-day urban powered extravaganza!

Purveyors and supporters of urban culture in the UK, Streetfest uniquely combines a kaleidoscope of interactive entertainment through music, live performance art, film, fashion and sports all under one roof.

First up we see a collection of over 20 artists and designers taking part in live demos, battles and screenings throughout the day, present- ing their creative vision and style.

We are proud to announce Inkie, globally respected as one of the most notorious graffiti writers in UK history to emerge out of the 80’s Bristol scene, will be painting alongside Remi Rough, who has been breaking boundaries for the past 24 years. He was recently invited to talk about the underground history of UK graffiti as part of the Tate’s Street Art exhibition and series.

Transcending the traditional and somewhat idealised vision of a graffiti writer, Blam, probably best known for his Oscar the Grouch character in Shoreditch (council have cleaned up efficiently!), has contributed to projects with The Royal Albert Hall. Also sharing walls, canvases and digital space will be Andy Council, Candy Flo, Elfin, Jess Douglas, Richt, Sainty and 45RPM.

On the main stage Secret Wars, the worlds premier live art battle will be stating the rules and setting the clock; two teams, 90mins, black paint on white walls, no sketching, an invisible middle line with artists either side - overseen by judges and the audience and using a decibel reader. Trust us this takes crowd participation to new levels!

Next up we have contributors Lovenskate, Bicycle Union and Kingdom hitting up the 32ft in-built ramp, where you can watch in awe as urban sports talent from the world’s of skate, in-line and bmx, flip and trick their way through all day competitions. Dance entertainment is provided by The bSupreme ladies, who will be conducting a high-energy b-girl hip hop dance competition.

The show doesn’t stop here! Streetfest’s alternative experience has a banging plethora of aural delights and we are excited to announce that The Nextmen will be headlining this year’s festival. This eclectic duo continue to be stalwarts of the UK music scene, consistently carving up shiny gems from London’s urban backdrop. We’re also featuring the heavy bass charms of the Urban Nerds (Rattus Rattus & Klose One), not shy of getting a party started, their unabated warehouse events and club nights have pushed boundaries and decibels to sell out events with their mash-up of dubstep, electro and grime.

The one-man mixing machine Thristian bPm, currently holds residency at Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Festival. Always on the hunt to discover new hip-hop sounds, he divides his time with sessions for Platform Magazine’s Boiler Room and he will unashamedly throw down sounds that will mix-up, make shapes and spin on its head. If you’re feeling leftfield and want to step outside, Greeds and Phresh Mentality will be performing spoken words in the Yard.

The big man with big tunes DJ Motive has made a name for himself smashing up all types of parties, and this will be no different! Marcus Nasty, Rinse FM DJ and founder of the N.A.S.T.Y Crew (Kano, Jammer, D Double E) will step to the decks with UK House and old skool grime. With more names to be added to the lineup you can expect an epic block party of bashment sounds!

Tickets go on sale from 4th April...go get one and get involved! Keep your eyes peeled for future line up announcements and for latest news visit – www.streetfest.net
