In this session we will discuss how to leverage SCCM 2007 for client desktop deployment, including:

* OSD deployment
* Configuring Windows 7 image for deployment
* Deploying Windows 7 to client desktop

In this session we will also learn how to leverage the integration between SCCM 2007 and Service Manager to better track and manage key activities during your Windows 7 desktop deployment.

Activities include:

* Creating and tracking help desk tickets during the pilot, deployment phases and beyond
* Generating reports on support issues and time resolution
* Learning to triage and escalate issues in a controlled fashion
* Creating and managing change request (CR) tickets to control the changes during your Windows 7 project
* Automating tasks
* Providing users with the ability to request Non-Core/Non-Standard applications and initiating service requests using the self-service portal
