Members of the Mesa State Dance Program and guest artists Amy Earnest and Lance Hardin join the GJSO for Igor Stravinsky’s mystical ballet, The Firebird. Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, a work beloved by many young and old alike, will also be performed as a full ballet production. Peter and the Wolf, a cherished symphonic work that has been used to teach children about music for many years, is sure to be one of this season’s favorites. The Firebird, based on the tale of a magical bird that is captured by a heroic prince, is an awe-inspiring work that showcases the orchestra’s many talented musicians.

Amy Earnest and Lance Hardin are Co-Artistic Directors of the Avant-Garde School of Dance in Centennial, CO. Both have performed throughout Colorado and the United States, and are in high demand as guest artists and clinicians.
