Gregarious Oakland-based writer and globe-trotting adventurer Jeff Greenwald, best known for award-winning travel books like Shopping for Buddhas (Lonely Planet) and The Size of the World (Ballantine), presents his newest work, an improvised monologue inspired by the joys of wanderlust. Audience members spin a huge, colorful "Wheel of Fortune" to determine the departure point for one of Jeff's extemporaneous journeys. Full of drama and hilarious anecdotes, and rich in the sudden inspirations and unpredictable encounters that make world travel so wild and illuminating, Jeff's tales add up to quite a trip, wherever they may lead.

Over the past two decades, Jeff has traveled extensively through five continents, working as a writer, artist and photographer. Among the unusual projects Jeff has undertaken in the course of his travels are designing urban playgrounds for UNICEF, completing a 29,172-mile, around-the-world overland voyage, and assisting victims of the 2005 tsunami in Sri Lanka. He has published four books and numerous articles for the likes of The New York Times Magazine, National Geographic Adventure, Outside, and Salon.com. As you might imagine, Jeff is brimming with stories that beg to be told!
