Why: Learn an innovative, cost effective approach to storm water management. Better stormwater management that effectively satisfies current requirements.

Who: Engineers, developers, architects, city and stormwater district officials, designers and contractors.

What: Chuck Taylor, of Advanced Pavement Technology (a design/build firm), will present the Bio-Aquifer Storm Systemâ„¢ (BASS); an engineered stormwater management system designed to trap first flush pollutants, provide detention under parking lots, promote ground water recharge and minimize land set aside for water retention. The seminar will address design and construction of projects as well as features and benefits of permeable interlocking paver systems. Permeable interlocking paver systems have been approved by federal EPA as a post-structural BMP compliance with NPDES Phase II rule. In addition, we will explore synergies with LID principals and suitable site designs, as well as, learn how BASS contributes to the USGBC certification process for LEED buildings and sites.
