Veterans Day Stirling will link with Scotlands Pipers Trail flagship event in celebration of TA 100. Entertainment, music, displays, a reconstruction of the Stirling Bomber and advice for veterans will be in Kings Park from 12 noon. A parade of massed pipes and drums will march from the Castle esplanade into the city centre where veterans will join the parade into Kings Park. The Provost will welcome everyone to the event around 2pm followed by a flypast of Tornadoes . A Tattoo will then take place encompassing a specially commissioned piece of theatre, military and community bands and displays by the royal artillery. Refereshments, exhibitions by local school children/Stirlings library service and outdoor activities will all add to a funfilled day of celebration. Veterans of all ages with a link to the Stirling or Forth Valley area are encouraged to get in touch to participate in the parade and/or event in Kings Park. Military standards and medals will be appropriate during the parade. Free event - open to the public.
