Stingrays call Columbia, Missouri home. "Stingrays sound ranges from psychedelic to vocals as mellow as Death Cab for Cutie, which inspire the band's experimental sound." (Alyson Fleming--Vox magazine)" They have also been compared to Flaming Lips, Radiohead, The Beatles, My Morning Jacket and Pavement, but have been developing a melodic-pop style that they can truly call their own. Diverse lyrics, dense guitar and keyboard- work riding over some very imaginative drumming (complemented by nimble, melodic bass parts) are all present with some snappy vocal melodies.
