Blind nearly from birth, Stevie Wonder became one of the most successful and well-known artists on the Motown label, with nine U.S. #1 hits to his name and album sales totaling more than 70 million units. A multi-instrumentalist, Wonder plays the drums, guitar, synthesizers, congas and most famously the piano, harmonica and various keyboards. Sparta is Jim, Tony and Paul from At The Drive-In. Alice in Chains is an influential grunge group formed by lead singer Layne Staley (1967-2002). Along with Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, Alice in Chains is one of the most commercially successful bands from the Seattle, Washington, grunge music scene. Unlike many of their peers, Alice in Chains owed more to heavy metal than to punk or '70s rock, but the group became closely associated with grunge due to their Seattle roots, the image they often presented by their attire, as well as with their introspective and sometimes morbid lyrics.
